All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah—He is One and has no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and messenger. O Allah! Send peace and blessings upon our master Muhammad, upon his family, and upon his companions. Ameen.
The Divine Light Within
Faith is like a divine lamp lit within the heart—an inner illumination that enlightens our senses and thoughts. This light refers to the radiance of faith that shows us the correct path of life. It serves as our guiding beacon, never fading until the end of life, continuously showing us the way to Allah until we reach our destination.
This light represents the very essence of faith, experienced truly only by those fortunate souls filled with faith’s reality. The glow of this divine radiance spreads with such intensity that even thousands of darkness cannot stand before it. When a person becomes illuminated from within, even the most difficult conditions and severe tests cannot disturb their inner peace. That spiritual radiance transforms the darkness of worries into light, bringing tranquillity to believers’ hearts.
This is the path through which even in the hardest times and darkest circumstances, believers continue walking with firm, unwavering steps. They never fear losing anything in this world because their inner light becomes a beacon for others as well. They live with honour, dignity, and a profound sense of divine mission.
The Contrast of Light and Darkness
Those who turn away from faith’s light are left groping in darkness. They desperately seek strength from worldly sources—wealth, status, and material power. Yet they remain unaware that true strength comes only from faith. These people may appear strong outwardly, but inwardly they are weak and unstable. They fear every challenge and tremble at every storm. When we examine their lives more deeply, their apparent strength reveals itself as nothing more than an illusion.
In contrast, there are people who may not belong to any ruling class or hold positions of worldly power, yet their faith is so strong that they become truly fearless. They stand firm in the face of hardship, refuse to bow before falsehood, and keep their eyes fixed on truth and righteousness. These are the people whose inner world overflows with peace, contentment, and divine radiance. They fear no earthly power because they remain connected to the ultimate source of all power—Allah.
Faith as the Source of True Courage
Strong faith provides the courage to face every kind of challenge. When your faith is firm, no trial, temptation, loss, or calamity can shake you. The power of faith helps you overcome all worldly and spiritual obstacles. Islamic history is filled with examples of individuals who, driven by their faith’s strength, faced enemies far superior in numbers and resources yet emerged victorious. They did not rely on material resources but placed their complete trust in Allah. Faith gave them the strength to change history’s course.
Unfortunately, today we are moving away from this divine light. We have abandoned that true strength and begun considering worldly power as real power. This represents a terrible mistake. Due to this error, we witness dishonesty, unrest, and moral decay everywhere around us.
We must reawaken our faith and correct our thinking. We must ask ourselves: What have we gained by abandoning faith? What benefit did we receive from disobeying Allah’s commands? What led us to this spiritual condition?
The greatest tragedy is that we have forgotten life’s true purpose and started chasing this world’s temporary pleasures. We have abandoned the path shown to us by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This is precisely why our inner light has dimmed. Let us reconnect with that divine radiance and revive faith’s light in our hearts. Only then can we live with honour and purpose.
Faith in Times of Trials
If a person feels no regret after committing a sin, their heart is spiritually dead. Allah’s religion teaches that believers should feel shame and guilt for their sins and sincerely repent before Allah. If someone commits sins happily without feeling remorse—seeing them as acts of bravery or pride—they are in profound loss, having distanced themselves from Allah.
A true believer, when they commit a sin, quickly turns back to Allah in repentance with a trembling heart and tearful eyes, sincerely seeking forgiveness.
When a person enters Islam sincerely, they accept Allah’s complete sovereignty. Where Allah’s decree comes, no other rule, law, or opinion can stand in opposition. Those who oppose Allah’s commands after becoming Muslim have not truly understood Islam and live in contradiction to life’s very purpose. Such people may be formally called Muslims, but their hearts remain void of true faith’s light.
The Sweetness of True Faith
The sweetness of faith is tasted only by those sincerely devoted to Allah. When the heart becomes firm in faith, it fills with light and strength. The voice of truth begins echoing in that heart. Such people receive Allah’s help and promise, spreading light throughout the world.
Faith’s strength makes a person fearless, giving them courage to speak truth and resist falsehood. Their words and actions transcend personal benefit, reflecting divine values. Such individuals are not afraid to take stands against injustice, even when facing hardship. They understand that true success lies not in this temporary world but in the everlasting Hereafter.
Faith is not merely a private or personal matter—it brings complete transformation to one’s character, society, and politics, impacting all life aspects. Faith provides not only moral values but a complete life system. Allah’s religion is not meant to remain limited to the mosque; it is a comprehensive system for all areas of life.
If one truly wants to follow Allah’s religion, they must be willing to bring change in every life area—from personal conduct to public systems and laws. Those who try to separate religion from life, thinking religion is only about worship, have not understood Islam. Religion is not only Allah’s name; it is His complete system. True believers not only claim belief in words but prove loyalty and obedience through action.
The Power of Unity and Brotherhood
Regarding brotherhood, Allah Almighty declares that believers are but brothers. If someone wishes to live according to Allah’s religion, they must uphold brotherhood as well. One cannot follow part of religion while leaving the rest—everything must accord with Allah’s commands.
Brotherhood represents a great blessing from Allah. Today’s greatest tragedy is that Muslims are divided. We can no longer feel each other’s pain. Everyone focuses only on their own needs and desires. Every individual has become enslaved to their own wishes, drifting away from the Ummah’s collective responsibilities.
This is why we suffer from disgrace and defeat. The Quran declares that unless Muslims unite and uphold religious values, they will not regain their lost honour. If we truly want to reform our society, we must revive our Islamic brotherhood.
The Call to Authentic Faith
If someone understands religion, they must first live by it themselves, then call others to it with sincerity and love. But if one calls others to religion only to gain status, recognition, or authority, that call becomes hollow and meaningless.
The true call to religion is made with pure intentions, with a sincere desire to seek Allah’s pleasure and reform others according to Allah’s guidance. Such a call touches hearts and brings people closer to truth.
The Characteristics of Strong Faith:
- Unwavering trust in Allah during trials
- Courage to stand for truth against falsehood
- Inner peace that transcends worldly circumstances
- Genuine remorse for sins and quick repentance
- Unity with fellow believers in brotherhood
- Complete submission to Allah’s sovereignty
- Integration of faith into all aspects of life
A Call to Spiritual Revival
We must return to faith’s true strength. The light of faith is not merely a metaphor—it is a spiritual reality that transforms hearts, communities, and nations. When we reconnect with this divine radiance, we discover that true power lies not in worldly possessions but in our relationship with Allah.
Let us examine our hearts honestly: Does the light of faith burn brightly within us? Do we feel Allah’s presence in our daily lives? Are we living as true believers, or merely carrying the label of Islam?
The path back to spiritual strength begins with sincere repentance, continues with wholehearted devotion to Allah, and culminates in living Islam as a complete way of life. Only when we embody faith’s true strength can we hope to restore the honour and dignity that comes from being Allah’s faithful servants.
May Allah grant us all the ability to reflect deeply and act according to His will. May He rekindle the light of faith in our hearts and make us among those who are truly strong in faith.
“And give good tidings to the believers.” – Quran 2:223
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
