All praise belongs to Allah, who revealed the Book upon His servant and made it a clear message for mankind—a beacon guiding us from ignorance and misguidance toward light, knowledge, and divine guidance. I praise Him, glorify Him, and bear witness that there is no god but Allah, One, without partners. I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger—the bearer of glad tidings and warner, the caller toward Allah by His command, and a shining lamp for humanity.
O Allah, send Your blessings and peace upon him, his family, and his noble companions.
The Metaphor of Rain: Nature’s Divine System
Dear brothers and friends, when the monsoon season arrives and the first cool breeze begins to blow, hearts rejoice—for this is a sign of Allah’s mercy and the promise of rain. After intense heat and drought, dark clouds gather and move toward the earth. Eventually, those clouds release their blessed burden. The dry, lifeless land awakens. Scorching plains bloom with life. Trees bear fruit, and the means of sustenance become abundant.
We witness how barren land blossoms with rain by Allah’s command, spreading greenery and flowers across the earth. Yet when rain does not come, the same land becomes dusty and lifeless. If clouds gather but fail to rain, or scatter without fulfilling their purpose, or if lightning strikes destructively, what could bring benefit instead brings devastation.
Behind this lies the amazing and unseen system of divine order in nature. The more one reflects upon it, the more their faith increases in this divine system—recognizing that there is one grand Designer behind it all, whose hands hold the reins of this entire universe, who created it and runs it with perfect wisdom and beauty.
The Spiritual Parallel
This same principle governs our moral, spiritual, and material lives. Just as our material existence depends on Allah’s mercy, so too does our spiritual well-being. Allah has established a divine system for both human law and spiritual living.
When Guidance Arrives
When morality decays and life becomes deprived of its purpose, turning away from divine and human values, the arrival of messengers and divine revelations in difficult times is like rainfall during a drought. God’s teachings and guidance are like rain for the soul.
But if spiritual rain does not fall, the land of the heart remains lifeless and dead. When spiritual and moral guidance fails to reach the world, humanity declines, injustice spreads, and life loses its sacred purpose.
The Fertile and the Barren
Just as rain nourishes the earth, filling lakes and rivers while storing water in the ground, divine revelations and guidance fill the hearts of the pious, becoming a source of life and prosperity. Those who understand and follow this divine guidance become like fertile land that yields beneficial crops from which people benefit.
Conversely, those whose nature refuses to accept divine truth are like land that remains hard and barren despite rainfall. The rainwater runs off the surface, and instead of bringing benefit, it brings destruction.
Similarly, those who hide behind religious rituals and external appearances while lacking truth and sincerity in their hearts do not benefit from divine guidance. Instead, the harshness within them is exposed, along with the hypocrisy and deception in their hearts.
Historical Witnesses
World history provides countless examples of this principle. Whenever the message of Prophethood arrived and people accepted it sincerely, acting upon divine teachings, they benefited morally and spiritually while spreading goodness everywhere. However, when people accepted the message only superficially, using it for personal gain without sincere implementation, they were ultimately destroyed.
The Holy Quran and human history repeatedly demonstrate that Allah’s mercy—in the form of divine guidance and revelation—has always descended during times of great difficulty. The choice remains with humanity: will they accept this divine favor or reject it?
Sacred Examples from History
Prophet Noah (peace be upon him)
Consider the beneficial message when Prophet Noah came to his people, inviting them to worship Allah alone. He declared: “You have no god except Him. Worshiping anyone else is unacceptable. Only His obedience should be followed.”
He warned them: “Do not behave in ways that bring Allah’s wrath upon yourselves. I fear the punishment of a painful day for you.”
But his people mocked and denied him, accusing him of being misguided. They ridiculed him because he called them away from the path of their ancestors. He tried to make them understand, but they remained blind in their arrogance.
Eventually, when they crossed all limits, Allah’s command arrived. The skies opened, the earth gushed forth, and the rebellious nation was drowned. Only those who had accepted the truth and boarded the ark of salvation with Prophet Noah were saved.
Prophet Hud (peace be upon him)
A similar situation occurred with the nation of Hud. He brought the same message: “Worship Allah alone. You have no god other than Him. Obey only Him.”
But his people also rejected him. Prophet Hud said: “You are acting ignorantly. Don’t you understand? Why don’t you use your intellect? I ask for no reward. I only call you toward Allah’s guidance.”
They would not listen. When their arrogance grew and they refused to change, they mockingly challenged him: “O Hud, bring upon us the punishment you threaten us with!”
So Allah’s punishment came—a strong wind that tore them apart. That nation was destroyed so thoroughly that even their name disappeared from the face of the earth.
Prophet Salih (peace be upon him)
The same fate befell the nation of Prophet Salih, who conveyed the identical divine message: “Worship Allah alone. You have no god besides Him, and His obedience is necessary.”
What did the leaders do? They turned their backs and began mocking. When Prophet Salih called them to believe, they responded: “Salih! Did you expect us to abandon what our forefathers worshiped simply because of your words? If you are truthful, bring us what you threaten us with.”
The leaders rejected the message, and the people followed them. The foretold punishment came true—a terrible earthquake struck, and by morning, they lay dead in their homes. Only Prophet Salih and those who believed were saved.
After this, Prophet Salih distanced himself from his people and said: “O my people! I conveyed to you the message of my Lord. I advised you sincerely, but you do not like those who give sincere advice.”
The Final Message
The same fate befell Pharaoh and his followers, who arrogantly denied the clear signs and warnings of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him).
From all these messengers, the final and most complete message came through Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He conveyed the same eternal truth: “Worship Allah alone. You have no deity other than Him.”
Those who accepted him found salvation. His life and teachings remain the ultimate guide for humanity.
The Contemporary Challenge
Today, the question before humanity remains the same: will we follow divine teachings and light, or wander in the darkness of misguidance and ruin like the nations before us?
The truth is undeniable—humanity needs divine guidance more than ever to revive dead hearts, morality, and spiritual life. Politically, morally, and spiritually, humanity faces crisis. Only the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) can provide salvation.
Now, it falls upon the people of the final Ummah to carry this responsibility. The great and blessed mission that began with the Prophet has been entrusted to this Ummah until the Day of Judgment. Those who answer this call are indeed fortunate.
Conclusion: The Call to Action
“Seek salvation, attain it, and make a firm decision to adopt it.”
Therefore, fear Allah, O servants of Allah, and follow the guidance brought by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
“Obey Allah and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy.”
May Allah bless us and you through the Glorious Quran.
May this message serve as a reminder of the eternal truth that guides humanity toward righteousness, mercy, and divine favor.
